Perhaps you consider yourself more of a chef than a bibliophile, but even so, the Shaw Library still has a book club that may appeal to you. Feeder's Advisory: A Book Club For Those Who Love Food invites attendees to read specialty cookbooks and share their insight with other foodies.
On Monday, January 22nd. come to the free book club from 7 to 8 p.m. to discuss The Sioux Chef's Indigenous Kitchen. Its author, Sean Sherman, is a member of the Oglala Lakota people, part of the Great Sioux Nation. He crafts recipes that highlight indigenous American ingredients. Chef Sean focuses on local, seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as American meats, and transforms these components into healthy and delicious dishes. Claim your library copy of the book so that you can read up before coming to Feeder's Advisory on the 22nd.
